Last Tuesday was Valentine’s Day; the annual celebration of love and romance. The next day (February 15th) is recognized as Single Awareness Day; the fateful day for singles to lament the fact that they spent February 14 alone.
Being single on Valentine’s Day is nothing new for me (I’ve been single for 23 Valentine’s days in a row 🙂 ) so I do not feel despair or a distaste for the Hallmark holiday. This year I consider the fact that I spent Valentine’s Day without a Valentine and I actually feel… happy. Continue reading
Three weeks ago, I turned 23.
I’m officially the same age my parents were when I was born.
If you would have asked 13 year-old me what life would look like in 10 years, I would have described an existence where I am married with two or three kids and a New York Time bestselling author with a chance that one of my books would be made into a movie.
My 13 year-old self was really ambitious.
This is for all of you guinea pigs, the test rats, the ones who clear the path, the ones who were the first to brave the womb.

Who Am I?
My name is La’Tia and I am a 19 (almost 20) year-old college junior. I live in Southern Alabama with my parents and five younger siblings. We are all very close and strive to live our lives in a way that is pleasing to God as it says in Colossians 1:10.
I love babies and young children and desire to use that love to minister to them and their parents. This summer I volunteered to lead the Beginner’s Sunday School class at my church so I keep busy providing lessons and crafts for my three to seven-year olds every Sunday. Continue reading
